Course Title: Exploring Aqidah (Islamic Theology & Belief) of Ahlu's-Sunnah wa'l-Jama'ah / Sunni Muslims

Course Description: This short course will introduce students and knowledge seekers to the Atharī School of Islamic theology, which is the most widespread and followed by many adherents of the Hanbali, Hanafi, and Shafi Schools of Fiqh. This course explores the literal meaning of the Quran, and the ḥadīth as authorities in matters of belief (ʿaqīdah) and law (fiqh).

Delivery Format: Virtual (Zoom) and at the masjid.

Course Title: Introduction to the Hanbali School of Islamic Jurisprudence

Course Description: This short course will introduce students and knowledge seekers to the Hanbali School of Islamic Jurisprudence, founded by Imam Ahmad Ibn Hanbal. The course was created for new Muslims and those who have been Muslim all of their life.

Course Text: Bidyat Al Abid (English Translation by brother John Starling). Text can be purchased here at www.bookshop.org or Amazon.com

Students must purchase the book prior to the first day of class. This book is an entry-level text for studying Hanbali Fiqh.
